Mark now lives in central London.
He left LMS on the 30th June 1983.
An email from Mark to Ian Sweeney:
"Hello Ian I do not know if you remember me but I was in dorm 24 when you were in 23. My name is Mark Blaikie. I remember you very well as you taught me badminton and I never did win. I was pleased to see your site as it named everyone who was at Lendrick when I was there 79-83. I did not know about Ricky and it came as a bit of a shock to me to read that he had died. I was in Dorm 8 with him up top after you left. As for Chris Stevenson I saw him 1 or 2 days before he died in Stockbridge. The person I miss the most from LMS is wee Kevin he died just weeks after me leaving I think he took a part of me with him as I got so close to him over the years and he was next to me up top in 8 too when Ricky went down bottom floor. Steven Withers is now Steven Blaikie. I found out that he was my half brother and since then he has changed his name back to Blaikie. I now live in London, I have been here about 8 years now.
Take care mate as it seems that people from LMS have a poor survival rate.

"I walked into the front hall of LMS on October 22nd 1979 at 1:50pm. The first person I saw was Bod ( James 'rabbit face' Reilly ). I was sent to dorm 24 and given the bed next to David Cummings. On my first night I was asked by Cummings if I had shagged my mother, I also had my bed tipped twice and David 'concorde' Cocks showed me his knob. I also had my Toffos and zit cream nicked during the night.
On my second night some middles and tops decided to raid Beak's wine cellar. Van 'bright as a blackout' du Tracy told me I would die if I told anyone, meanwhile Lee Mullan was on the end of my bed trying to open a bottle of Beak's best , when Goggs jumps up and says "not the 45". I made mates with Phil 'don't call me fat or you die' Clark and that then stopped anyone annoying me!
I was also struck across the face twice on my first 2 days at LMS by Frank Zawankerski. I tell no lie but when I meet him again I'm going to give him the biggest kicking of his shitty little paedophilistic life.
